Haverford Black Squirrels

The Black Squirrels under Bathory:

  • 29-18 Career Record (2010-2012).
  • In first 3 years as head coach, mentored 5 All-Americans (totalling 9 AA nods, including first 2 Third-Teamers ever in program history), 11 All-Conference players (who garnered 18 All-Centennial awards in that time), 4 Scholar All-Americans, and 6 USILA Senior North-South Classic Game All-Stars (three in 2012).
  • 2012: Recruited first High School All-American (and first to Haverford since 2008). Led the Class of 2012 to finish at 42-22. Three Black Squirrels named All-Americans, four named All-Centennial.
  • 2011: Highest number of All-Americans (4) and second 3rd-Team AA player in program history; new record high All-Centennial selections (8), tying 2010's seven 1st- and 2nd-team honorees; defense ranked #1 in DIII man-down (89% penalty kills). Final national rank #13. Record 11-4.
  • Led the Class of 2011 to finish at 47-19 setting a new record in Haverford history as the reigning winningest class.

  • 2010: Reached NCAA Quarterfinals for first time; first-ever Centennial Conference title (in only Haverford's second title game appearance); first-ever 3rd-Team AA player in program history (highest recognition to date); most All-Centennial 1st- and 2nd-Team selections (7) ever; tied highest number of All-American picks (3); 2nd and 3rd national InsideLacrosse.com/NIKE players of the week (Max Hjelm, Joe Banno; first such Haverford recognitions since 2004). Final national rank #11. Record 12-6.

  • Led the Class of 2010 to finish at 44-21 and a place in program history as its winningest graduating class.
